Facebook Instant Articles (and how it’ll work with your online marketing)
A while ago Facebook announced they would be releasing a new method for we entrepreneurs to engage with our potential customers and audiences.
It’s called Facebook Instant Articles (FIA), and it allows you to publish articles and content directly to Facebook, without that user having to actually load an external website.
Why is this important?
When crafting an experience and building brand trust, awareness and relevancy, we want someone to read and experience that content.
With Facebook Instant Articles we’re going to be able to build a VERY powerful layer on top of our marketing funnel.
Here at INFINITUS we’re really excited about Facebook Instant Articles, so much so that we just ditched the Rainmaker platform for WordPress, simply due to the fact that we want to be able to support Facebook Instant Articles as soon as possible.
How does this work with my marketing funnel?
As you know, I believe that a marketing funnel without content is next to useless. It’s a bird without wings. With the functionality behind Facebook Instant Articles we’re able to use it in our online marketing by retargeting our users with relevant articles that they haven’t seen, including interactive pieces such as graphics and videos.
However, that’s not all. Facebook is also giving us the ability to advertise DIRECTLY to the newsfeed with sponsored articles.
Yes – from day one, you’re going to be able to target your audience with these articles.
And when it launches, I expect it to be cheap.
Why is this important to you?
Supply vs. Demand.
Facebook advertising is super effective. It allows you to drive a lot of traffic to your online marketing funnel and whenever there is something “new,” well, it’s an opportunity to reach new audiences for FAR less.
That’s an unfair advantage.
Whenever there is an audience, but the market hasn’t capitalized on it, it means that we are able to use that to an advantage.
I predict that our cost when starting to use this platform will be 10 – 30% of our regular costs.
That’s HUGE, for both of us.
Creating an experience
See, when using content to create relevancy, we’ll be able to create experiences that are more integrated where our audience feels “safe.”
Each time someone exits Facebook for an external site – a site outside of Facebook – there is a sense of uncertainty.
However, when someone is in the Facebook platform, there is a higher level of certainty and trust, which is transferred to you and your brand.
How will it add profit to the bottom-line?
Great question. While we don’t know the specifics or how this will develop, as it was just launched on April 12th, 2016, we don’t know the full potential.
However, if you’ve ever seen our SSF Marketing Funnel or our training on using marketing funnels, you know that we use content in a very big way and without it, our marketing funnel is simply a static (and ineffective) sales funnel.
In the value-first economy, content allows us to build trust and become relevant.
Facebook has just upped the ante for our value-based marketing.
Those that embrace, will win.
So, how does it work?
Well, it’s actually not that complex, however Facebook has created this for the more intensive content creators.
The major (and perhaps difficult for some) requirement is that you must initially have 50 articles in order to submit your website to Facebook for approval for Facebook Instant Articles.
Obviously there are some technical requirements. For most of us, 50 unique pieces of content isn’t easy.
Here’s the silver lining: If we do have 50 articles, we can bring these pieces together and then have them be automatically published to FIA.
It also gives us an advantage, as the majority of business owners don’t have 50 pieces of content. Those who do will no doubt be given an advantage as Facebook will likely be pushing this from the start and your ability to reach your audience will be far easier.

Will you capitalize on it?
